Debbie Lewin serves as a Professional Development School (PDS) Coordinator for the Elementary Education Program.  In this capacity, she oversees three semesters of the undergraduate professional program which includes a yearlong intern residency while teaching corresponding seminar courses and maintaining relationships and training for university supervisors, school partners, and mentor teachers.  Debbie joined the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ of Maryland community as a PDS coordinator in 2018

Debbie is a 1988 graduate of the Master's Certification Program at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ of Maryland.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources with a concentration in environmental education at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ of Michigan in 1984.  Prior to joining the faculty at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ of Maryland, Debbie worked as an elementary classroom teacher with Howard County Public Schools, Maryland and served as a mentor teacher and university supervisor to teacher candidates.
